One of the most beautiful aspects of Mexico is the ease of receiving local services. I am discovering the best services exist off the beaten path. Hidden. Questionable. Behind large closed doors of a ramshackled building or a bumpy dirt road in the middle of nowhere.
A neighbor stopped by recently to recommend an auto body repair shop. It had been 7 months since we were hit by a shuttle van; we had collected the insurance money and knew some of the parts needed to be ordered from the States [Spanish 911 is the original post]....but still had not fixed our car. Time to pause and take accountability. I Jen, recognize that I was being lazy by not following up and taking the time to fix my car. Done, moving forward.
The mechanic is located just several blocks from our house; across the highway, past the strip club, down several dirt roads. No neighbors or businesses nearby, just a few empty buildings. His garage is attached to his house, random building materials placed together to create his workspace.

Repairs are done in Andres' garage
The work was completed by hand; costing half the price as ordering them from the States, as previously quoted. After inspecting the work and paying up, we were welcomed into the house to sip some tequila. As we pondered the idea of hanging around, I was quickly escorted inside. Andres' wife had spotted my tattoos and urged me to meet their daughter; a local tattoo artist.
We left happy [without any new tattoos]!
