Our first week in Mexico and everything is falling into place. We have found an apartment that we will move into on September 1st; can you say ocean views from the dinning room table, backyard, and our own pool. We have surfed Sayulita and Punta de Mita area; which has an abundance of breaks and so far, great vibes from the locals.
Why I am Stoked: Vegan ice-cream stand at the grocery store...YES, I will gladly go grocery shopping each week!
Things Making Me Croak: SCORPIONS!!! More than 53,000 reported stings a year in the state that we live in...shaking the bed sheets out each nite before we crawl into bed and checking my shoes.
It Ain't No Joke: Our current apartment has so much chlorine in the water that it makes your eyes burn; counter- acted this by wearing my swim goggles for last night's shower.

Lots of beach vendors, but they are not pesky or bothersome. We've been to 4 different beaches this week and the vendors have been polite and good humored.
Not many foreign tourists at this time of the year; mostly Mexican nationals.
