Our good friends the Denkers (whom we met while teaching abroad in Venezuela), invited us over for some Thai dinner last night. Micheal, a culinary genius, took cooking lessons recently and we had begged him to have us over to show off his skills. When we arrived to their house, the beautiful chalkboard cupboards in their kitchen were tagged, by Borgit, with a little satire about why we should not move to Mexico. To be fair to the Denker reputation, I will note that in all reality, they were our biggest supports (along with many other friends) and helped us through the tough decision of taking the job and leaving Salt Lake City.
I love reading the Denker's Top Ten Reasons for Not Moving to Mexico....especially when accompanied by the true definition of the word satire.
