Thrills.

Our trip is a 'fly by the seat of our pantalones' style trip; with a few must see places.

~Dolores Hidalgo: [site of the famous 'cry for independence'] where we plan to design & buy talavara tiles for our stair risers. 

~Playa del Carmen: I am enrolled in a free diving certification course [no tank of air...just my good ole' lungs].

~ Mayan Ruins galore.

~Chiapas & Oaxaca

Chills.

~Heavy rainfall or hurricane occurring while we are not home [we've had many 'ah' night bailing water out of our house during heavy rainstorms].

~Long road trip with two dogs.  If you have met Sancho, you understand my fear....he is a wild monster,from another galaxy.

~ Mexico City: we will not even attempt to drive through this monstrosity [just hope we don't get lost and sucked into the belly of the beast; ugh].

Essentials.

~Machete: Fresh coconuts aplenty in this tropical country.

~Tequila: first stop is at 'La Cofradia' ...every good road trip starts and ends in Tequila Country.

~Tajín, tuna packets, avocados, limes & tostadas 
[faux ceviche tostadas].

~A good sense of humor.

~A Coyote Kit [toilet paper, hand sanitizer, hand trowel].
