For the first time since 2004, we are traveling to a non-Spanish speaking country. I am beyond excited to be lost, confused and look like a total weiner in a country where I don't speak the language or have the slightest clue about cultural norms.
It all begins in one week.
Another Mexico By Road Trip north to the border; hitting Maztlan, Navajoa and Puerto Peñasco with the pups in tow, to 'Grandma & Grandpa's' house. Four days in Hong Kong, a month in Bali, Lombok & the Gili Islands & back in the car heading south of the border.
Oh, and might I add....as of today, the driving section is all happening with no fifth gear in our car {yep, what happened a year ago on our big ole' Mexico By Road Trip {day 32 & 33}; still has yet to be properly fixed}. It's as if the universe is wanting to give us a bigger adventure.

Seeing this big sign on our first drive down was momentous; almost to our final destination, Puerto Vallarta.
This will be our third time rolling through Mazatlan. Our plan is to meet our friends Tasha & Owen here. Tasha and Owen live part of the year on a sailboat and leave their boat here, when not living the 'salty sea life'. They know Mazatlan well and will be our tour guides for the brief second we are in town {& possibly caravanning north with us in their westie}.

Puerto Peñasco is tucked just south of the Arizona border. Two nights at a beachside resort with Sam's family. A beach vacation never needs an excuse but we do have a bit o' business to take care of while here. Although our car still has United States license plates, we are not legal to drive north of the Rio Grande. To avoid high fees of becoming legal; our car will be stored here, for the summer.
