The insurance check finally arrived! Key word; finally.  It has been so long, I hardly even notice our crinkled-up car bumper.  Last fall, we were slammed by a 15 passenger van.  Crushed! I wrote about this experience in a post called Spanish 9-1-1.

Dear Roberto [our Ace Seguros representative],
CC: Cesar [because without Cesar cracking the whip, Roberto does not like to do his work]

I have received my insurance check on behalf of your car insurance company.  Congratulations...you will no longer have to ignore the plethora of my e-mails, residing in your inbox.

Sincerely,

The gringa who has more free-time, now that she doesn't have to pester you.
