Dearly beloved
We are gathered here today
2 get through this thing called life....

Any wedding that starts with these words, is going to be incredible! Jill and Mark's wedding ceremony was unique and beautiful.  Although, I have to admit that I was not fully present for most of it, because I was nervously awaiting the moment that I was invited to get up in front of all 230 people and read a blessing.  I was honored to have been asked to read the Apache Wedding Blessing just after the vows and rings were exchanged; but also secretly, scared out of my head.  I had taken one little nip from my flask of Mexican tequila to help calm the nerves; I thought about taking 10 more.  This reading was special because I had worked with Jill on the Apache reservation 8 years ago; quickly forming a bond over US magazines, dancing at the Lion's Den, and our passion for traveling.  It was Jill that made my very own wedding so lively and fun, seven years ago!

Sam and I centered our travels this summer around Jill's wedding.  Using Minneapolis as our main hub to visit friends and family from. It is always interesting to see the United States with 'new eyes'.  After becoming so comfortable living in Mexico, I can see things differently.  Appreciate the simplest of pleasures, more easily.  Minneapolis now feeling like the most incredibly hip city in the universe after residing in a small Mexican fishing village for the past year.
Live music, good people, and delicious breweries; what else do you need?

If you are still unsure of the significance of the opening words of their wedding....you should be ashamed of yourself.

Jill's friends and family were so inviting and made us feel like the 'M.V.G's' of the event.  In fact, the group of guests that attended her wedding weekend were all Most Valuable Guests.  The incredible thing about being around a group of traveled people, are the connections you make.  It is comfortable to be around these people and the possibilities of seeing some of them in the future, effortless to visualize.

So, like Jessica, the officiant of the ceremony, said to end the ceremony....

Are we gonna let de-elevator
Bring us down
Oh, no Let's Go!
Let's go crazy
