Several years ago we were invited to the quinceañera of a local family; our first summon into the pueblo, we call home. There are pivotal moments, like this in every foreigner's life while residing in a new culture. Tonight we officially became La Cruz locals, with an invite to a small family gathering with Don Jesus and Doña Maria, both members of the founding families in town. We were delighted to pull up our plastic red chairs next to Don Jesus for pozole and stories about La Cruz.
