I felt myself feeling a bit anxious as my plane drifted up, up & away from Mexico.
I had three hours to ponder this confusion on my way to Atlanta.
No Sammy, no inflight movie & little interest in my book.
Just me, a window seat and my restless brain.

In hindsite, I should have been more nervous about waiting in the Atlanta airport for several hours; shellshocked & huddled up in a corner of a restaurant, solitarily sipping on a cider.
Welcome to the USA....and the world's busiest airport.
Welcome to the USA....and the world's busiest airport.
Mexico has become home.
And, although it still shocks the shit out of me on a regular basis; it's smells, sounds & sights are my 'comfort' zone, these days.
Standing in the immigration line in Atlanta I was so overwhelmed.
Everyone is so tall; just like me...Greetings, my fellow amazons.
What are these machines taking pictures of me before speaking with the customs official?
And, the line of people...its so...so...organized!

Admittedly I am a lucky girl to be able to call several places home.
Yep, I have the best of both worlds [Mexico & the USA].
If having to squirm awkwardly in Atlanta is what it takes to traverse the two countries...
I would do it in a heartbeat, every time.
